Christmas Dresses

Well, at long last, here are the pictures of the Christmas dresses I made this year. I made them using the Ladies Regency Gown pattern and the Girls Regency Dress pattern from Sense and Sensibility. The pattern was very simple and easy to put together and I am looking forward to making more for spring.

Mama's dress. I absolutely loved the fabric she chose for hers.

Here is my dress, inspired by the brown dress Marianne wore in Sense and Sensibility, below. ( sorry for the fuzzy picture, it's the best I could find.)

Bekah's dress.

Emily's dress.

I think it was Mama's idea to take our picture like this. Doesn't it look neat?

All of us. Here you can see Natalie's dress.
Well, that's all for now. We are heading to Dothan today for my dad's job interview, so please pray. I'll try and get pictures while we're there of the dresses I made for my Aunt and cousins, so stay tuned!

Creation Museum

I know I should have done this sooner, but I haven't really gotten around to it. I'll be better in the future, honest.:-) Because of problems I am currently having with blogger, I won't be able too say what every picture is, but I'll do my best.
So , here we go... Our Visit to the Creation Museum.

Because we went in early December and they were expecting a snowstorm, (that we didn't know about) there were not many people so I was able to get some pretty good pictures.

Here we go back in time......

Moses and the Prophets

Martin Luther

Our Modern World

To find out why we have strayed away from biblical truths and values, we go back.... to the beginning. The Garden of Eden is breathtaking. Pictures simply can't do this justice, so if you want to see it better, you simply have to go see it. (the one in Kentucky of course!)

Adam and Eve

Do I have to tell you?

Death after Sin

This one is kind of hard to see, but it's supposed to be Cain and Able.

The Methuselah exhibit is one of my favorites.:-)

Building the Ark. When you walk in the room you can hear a lot of the workers grumbling over "We've been working on this thing for 99 years and not a drop of water yet" Oh if they only knew.......:-)

This is one of the last photos we took. It's supposed to be of one of the idols that Noah's descendants worshipped over the years as they drifted away from God.

The last exhibit (before the Dinosaur Room) Is called the Last Adam Theater. This is a powerful 20 minute video on Jesus' coming and Crucifixion and why He had to pay the penalty for our sins.

We were "Astonished" at everything we saw and really want to go back again!

Can someone help me fix this??????

A million Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!! :-)

Christmas!

Okay, I know I'm a bit late with this, but I thought I would do a Christmas post anyway. I'm awful about getting my pictures downloaded, so I'm very glad these weren't on my camera.:-) So, here we go......

The Tree......

Natalie trying to swipe an M&M.....

Earrings!

Pan covers to keep grease from splattering...

Doesn't Emily look thrilled? A remote controlled car!!!!!

Natalie (finally) gets her M&M.

The Return of The Daughters!!!!

And what could this be?....

A baby for the baby!!

Mama looking over some books she got....

Bekah's Hat! ( I gave her that!)

Janet Arnold's Pattern's of Fashion 2! It may be hard to see, but I was thrilled!

This is one of the few pictures we took of dad's presents, but then him being the official photographer had something to do with it.:-) For every year for as long as I can remember we have gotten him a Hickory Farms snack pack as a Christmas present. He loves them.:-)

Here Emily is holding something I made her...

After unfolding it.... "Neat, a Bed runner!"

"Oh goodie, The Talley Trio!" (flipping the c.d over, reading the back) It's got "my" song, Red Letter Day! Yippee!(this was definitely one of the highlights of my Christmas.:-))

And here is one of the highlights of Natalie's Christmas...

A mini kitchen!!!!

Mama going through her stocking.

"What in the world will I do with all my presents!!??!!" Thanks to all the aunts, uncles and grandparents for all the special treats! My first "real" Christmas was a blast!

Merry Christmas!!!!

I wish I had a picture of the blower Rebekah and Emily got dad, but I don't. And sadly, we forgot to take one of our traditional
"monkey bread" that we enjoy each Chirstmas morning. But I think you can see we had a fun day anyhow!

This is all for now, but I'll be following up with pictures of the Christmas dresses I made as well as pictures from the Creation Museum we went to in early December.

Bye for now!
