Sorry I haven't posted lately...............

Hello everyone! I am so sorry that I haven't posted anything lately. We have been pretty busy lately as well as battling sickness. :-o To start off with, ( or restart with? or to restart off with? or to start back off with? or...... anyway, like I was saying...:-))

To start with, I am posting a quote from a book I am reading, an update on the local Answers in Genesis conference we attended, and some other things as well.

Please pray for my dad, too. He is going to Dothan Al. ( home of my friend Sarah) for a special job interview, so we will really appreciate prayers.

Okay, I loved this one so much I just had to share.

Second Reading: So it doesn't matter what I believe in?

Third Reading: So if I believe in Big toes, I am automaticlly a good person and can be trusted! Wait, it says something beyond myself.

Fourth Reading: so if I believe in somebody else's big toe, am I automatically a good person?

Answers In Genesis Conference

We went to a special AIG conference this past weekend that was put on by a local church. It was really good! They had Mr. Ken Ham there, as well as a Dr. David Menton, who I hadn't heard before. On Friday night Dr. Menton gave a talk called "Fearfully and Wonderfully Made", about how a baby is conceived and how it grows in the womb. I don't see how anybody can walk away from something like that and not see the Creator. It was simply fascinating! As always, :-), we bought a ton of books and DVDs, including Demolishing Strongholds, which I have been wanting for some time.


They also talked about more additions they are making to the museum, which makes me want to go back even more!

Final Update

We got back from Uncle Mac's memorial service Wednesday night. Thank you so much for your prayers! This was all very sudden, as nobody was aware that he had cancer at all. Pancreatic cancer is generally undetectable until the last minute. The last time we had seen him, a few months ago, he was extremely healthy. The "suddenness" of his death has been very tough on his family, so please continue to pray for them.

I put the parenthesis around suddenness because, although it may seem sudden to us, he was called home at just the right time to God.

Update

Uncle Mac passed away this morning at about 4:00 A.M. Our plans have been altered so that we will be leaving on Wednesday instead of today. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. Thank you.

PLEASE PRAY!!!!!!!

This is a request for prayers for my dad's Uncle Mac. He is in the hospital with pancreatic cancer and the doctors think he could die any time.

There's really nothing that can be done now, but please pray for the family, that everyone will have God's grace for this. We will be leaving for Albany, where he lives, tomorrow morning. Thank you all.
