Feelin Feminine-Monday

Okay, I am a day late, but I never got around to posting yesterday. This is my final outfit for the Feelin' Feminine Challenge. In a day or so I'll be posting my thoughts on the challenge. We went to a Pro-Life Essay Contest award ceremony last night, so I sort of semi-dressed up.

I love this outfit because it's very stylish, and also very feminine.

Feelin' Feminine-Sunday

Here is Sunday's outfit for the Feelin' Feminine Challenge. Fairly simple, so I spruced it up with a pretty necklace. :-)

I am so glad I have contacts now. When I had glasses I could never wear my hair over one eye like this. (I'm just kidding :-) it was kinda windy outside :-))

I love this necklace! It looks so vintage. :-)

Feeling Feminine-Saturday

Here is Saturday's outfit for the Feelin' Feminine Challenge. We had to run some more errands in town today, so here is what I wore. I call this my "Favorite's Outfit" because I've got......

My favorite dress, my favorite purse,

and my favorite bracelet! I'm not usually one for "out there" jewelry, but this is a beloved exception!

here's what I wore the rest of the day, while we were outside doing yard work. Natalie loves riding in the wheelbarrow.:-)

Feelin' Feminine-Friday

Here is Friday's outfit for the Feeling Feminine Challenge. We spent most of today in town. Even though it's fairly comfortable, this is most likely my least favorite outfit.

Denim jacket, red tank, floral skirt.

Here is a close up of my watch. It's my favorite.

And on a more interesting note.......

A bat! We found this interesting creature out on a tree.

Feelin' Feminine Challenge

I've decided to take part in the Feelin' Feminine Challenge, like my friend Allison and other young ladies have.
For a whole week I'll wear skirts and dresses, posting a new picture every day. I'm excited! Wearing skirts is not a new thing for me, as for almost 8 years of my life I was dresses/skirts only. Now, I generally split skirts/pants up half and half every week. I'll also be doing the challenge "extras", different accessories with each outfit, and posting pictures of different daily activities carried out in skirts.
If you are interested in the Feelin' Feminine Challenge, click here.

I started on Tuesday but haven't gotten around to posting pictures until now. So.......
Tuesday

We were doing a lot of housework in preparation for realtor's coming to look at the house, so I just through on my denim jumper with this pink shirt.

Fixing Lunch. You can't tell, but I have a very pretty butterfly clip pulling my hair back. :-)

Wednesday
We had to run to the grocery store, so I wore my pink and white Pure Fashion shirt.

I love these Shoes!!!!

A full length picture. This is my favorite denim skirt.

The rest of the day I wore my light wash denim house skirt with a flowery shirt.

Spray painting......

Today
Same skirt, different shirt.

Doing my schoolwork.

I'll be posting some more pictures tommorow! Stay tuned!

2008 Pure Fashion Show!!!!!

So.....here are the pictures from the Fashion Show, just like I promised! All picture credits go to my dad. I was too busy looking at everything to even think about cameras. :-) You are all very fortunate, because he took pictures of every outfit on the runway. To any interested, all the outfits came from Dillard's. So.....here we go!

Shopping

Me looking at some bags

Dad caught me looking at this purse. It had about 7 different types of artificial animal fur all over it. The picture doesn't even do it justice. Not my style, I wouldn't even look at it. :-)

The Show

First up was a talk by co-host Julie Laipply on being beYOUtiful. She was extremely interesting.

There was a young lady named Heather Holtry from the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She has Lyme Disease, and her wish was to have original modest prom dresses that she had designed made and modeled at a Pure Fashion Show. She did such an awesome job.

Here are two more gowns. Heather is the girl on the right. My favorite dress is the one on the girl on the left.

In honor of Heather Holtry, who loves ballet, Pure Fashion had Mary Kate McCarthy, from the Atlanta Ballet, dance at the show.

After Music performances from Lindee Link, a 13 year old singer, (by the way, she did a great job) and Carried Away (loved them too) one of the models came out and spoke to the audience about her experience with Pure Fashion and how it helped her learn that modesty isn't about wearing just an old sack, but looking feminine and attractive as well. She was very interesting,

Allison Boyle speaking

And finally...... the fashion show itself!

Division #1 :

Think Pink

The next speakers were 2 models who had been friends for several years and did pure fashion together. They talked about how Pure Fashion really impacted their friendship and equipped them to truly challenge one another in their walk with Christ.

and another

Every year, each of the models are asked to design an original prom gown. Then they have a contest to see which gown wins, and the winning dress is made and modeled in the next fashion show.

Stunning!
