More Spotted in town......

Having never bought a vehicle in Augusta, we aren't sure, but apparently our city has a problem with overly "persuasive" car salesmen.

In light of that, I'm assuming that advertisements such as this would work.

Spotted in town.....

This interesting sign posted in a store window sparked the following (actual) conversation.

Rebekah: What's a Carpet-Bagger?

Emily: Not to be smart, but someone who carries a carpet bag!

R: Well, why don't they want people with carpet bags in their store?

Sara: Because that makes it easier for people to steal! They can walk right in and stick stuff in their bags!

E: Exactly!

R: But how is it no one notices?

S: Well, that's why solicitors aren't allowed in either. If they're working together, the solicitor can distract the propreitor while the carpetbagger does the job!

E: Exactly!

R: Oh, I see!

Sadly, I'm really not sure what they mean by "carpet-bagger", but we're satisfied with this. :-)

At the park- Rnd.2

Well, here are the photos I've been promising.:-) I thought they turned out pretty well. Once again, I managed to take about a 100+ pictures. :-) My problem isn't so much that I'm camera crazy, (like "some people":-)), but I'm always afraid to delete. :-( Gotta work on that some. :-) SO, here we are........

Getting ready to start out.

There she goes!

Dad and Emily.

Part of the house. It was so big I just couldn't get a good picture.

Entering the woods. (don't worry. I didn't take too many "nature photos".)

Dad and Natalie.

Looking at the fish. (and yes, the baby frogs were still there.:-/)

There was a turtle in this picture. Was.......

Fishing.

I love the way this photo turned out. It's kind of funny too, in that you see a picnic bench up front, but the picnickers have chosen too sit on the ground......

Mama took this one. I love that they are all looking in the same direction at the same time. That's sorta hard to do, especially with Natalie.

I like this one of dad, too.

Look at me!

Leaving the woods.

Mama and Dad.

Well, that isn't all of the pictures I took, but that's all I'll post. Mama and Dad's anniversary is this weekend, so I'm hoping that maybe we can go somewhere and I can take some pictures of them.

A quick note: I won't be reading Parallel Journeys this month, but next month. (It was on my book list) I'm trying to get together some books on WW2. I bought a real interesting looking book at the Books-A-Million yesterday entitled: "Fateful Choices:Ten Decisions That Changed The World, 1940-1941." by Ian Kershaw. If anybody else knows of any good books on WW2 and/or the Holocaust, please let me know! I'm mainly interested in learning more about the German side of the war than anything. I'm also into studying Russian history, including The Iron Curtain and Communism, as well as anything medieval. So, if anybody has any recommendations, please let me know!

Working on my Blog....

From the comfort of my dining room table.

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls....I have a lap top. :-) :-)

It's a red gateway, and I love it! Mama and Dad bought it for an early birthday present, but couldn't wait to give it to me! I am so excited! I have been wanting a lap top for several years now, so you can imagine that I am tickled pink over this! :-) :-)

I'll post pictures from our hike in the park and our trip in Dothan sometime this week.

Sewing blog still in progress.

P.S. feel free to comment. I love 'em. :-)
